The power of electrostatic precipitator is composed of control cabinet, step-up transformer and rectifier. The power supply voltage has great influence on collection efficiency, therefore, the operation voltage must keep 40-75kv and more above 100kv.
The working principle of electrostatic dust collector is to use high voltage electric field making flue gas ionization, the dust charged and separated from flue gas by means of electric field. Cathode is made from different cross section shape of metal wires called discharge electrode, anode is made from different geometrical shapes of metal plate called dust collecting electrode.
There are three factors to affect the performance of electrostatic dust collector:
dust properties, structure of equipment and gas velocity.
The specific resistance of dust is the evaluation index of electrical conductivity and has direct influence to dust collection efficiency.

Three basic process:
Suspension of charged particles---high voltage DC corona
Movement and collection of these charged particles in electric field---continuous corona field or pure electrostatic field.
Deashing process---the dust is dropped into ash bucket by vibrating.
